NEW_LIVES joins international consortium

08.09.2023 | New possibilities for an international exchange of knowledge and perspectives

The International Consortium on Newborn Sequencing (ICoNS) is a global coalition of pilot projects dealing with the implementation of genomic newborn screening in their respective home countries. It was founded in Boston in 2022 and currently unites 14 partner projects from the USA, Australia, and various Western European countries, including the UK, France, Belgium, Italy and Germany. The aim of the consortium is to exchange knowledge and perspectives between the participating projects, which are at different stages of the implementation process towards genomic newborn screening, with some already designing or undertaking important pilot studies. As a new member, NEW_LIVES is looking forward to participate in this exchance and will send a delegation to the consortium's second Annual Meeting in London on 5-6 October 2023.
