Comfort rooms at Heidelberg University Hospital
Added convenience - even during a hospital stay
Dear patients and relatives
Being hospitalised is an unfamiliar and often challenging situation for many people. At Heidelberg University Hospital, we do our best every day to provide you and your relatives with the best possible care. Your medical treatment is always our top priority.
At the same time, we want to make your stay in our clinics as pleasant as possible. That is why we offer you accommodation in one of our comfort rooms in addition to standard care.
These one- or two-bed rooms include high-quality and comfortable furnishings. Additional services are also included.

Your booking
Comfort rooms are not yet available in all clinics.
If you are interested in accommodation in a comfort room, please let us know when you make your appointment at the respective clinic. If possible, we will be happy to reserve a room for you in advance*.
*The number of our comfort rooms is limited. We therefore ask for your understanding if a comfort room is not available in individual cases. In some clinics, accommodation in single rooms is only possible if the second bed in the room is not required for another patient. Comfort rooms are not available in intensive care and monitoring wards.

The rates are harmonised with all private health insurers (PKV) in Germany. If your private insurance includes accommodation in a single or two-bed room, your private health insurance will cover the additional costs. It is best to find out from your insurance company before your hospitalisation whether they will cover the costs.
If you do not have such insurance, you can take advantage of accommodation in a comfort room at your own expense.
