LSHTM
London School of Hygiene
and Tropical Medicine
Since 1989, we have been working with
various departments of the LSHTM, parti-
cularly in two domains: health economics,
particularly with regard to exploring innova-
tive and locally adapted ways of health care
financing. Recently we have collaborated
on health consequences of climate change
an on maternal and child health. In Sir Prof.
Andy Haines, we have a strong partner for
developing and strengthening capacity at
European universities in research on global
aspects of health.
Heidelberg and the LSHTM collaborated on
the network Tropical Medicine Europe. We
were both founding members of the succes-
sor Institution, the European Academic Glo-
bal Health Alliance, chaired by Andy Haines.
