German Center of Cardiovascular Research (DZHK)
The professors of the new Institute of Experimental Cardiology are also professors of the German Center of Cardiovascular Research (DZHK). The DZHK is the largest cardiovascular research institution in Germany and aims at translating new cardiovascular research approaches into clinical application to improve diagnosis, prevention and therapy of cardiovascular diseases. The DZHK brings excellent basic and clinical scientists from seven partner sites in Germany together. The Director of the Institute of Experimental Cardiology is currently the speaker of the DZHK partner site Heidelberg/Mannheim.
