Climate protection in clinics through optimisation of supply chains (KliOL)
The KliOL project has set itself the goal of reducing approx. 6,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions, measured in CO2 equivalents (CO2e), at Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) within the 3-year project period. In order to achieve this goal, (1) a GHG calculator for hospitals that includes the supply chains will be created, (2) the greenhouse gas emissions of Heidelberg University Hospital will be determined, (3) promising climate protection measures focussing on supply chains will be developed, (4) their implementation will be tested in practice and (5) quantitative and quality-related monitoring of the effects will be carried out.
