PROFESSIONAL TEACHING, INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING, AND INTERCULTURAL LEARNING
GERMAN-CHINESE ALUMNI NETWORK IN PSYCHOSOMATIC MEDICINE AND PSYCHOTHERAPY (DCAPP)
Summary
The overall goal of the German-Chinese Alumni Network in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (DCAPP) is to strengthen the China competence in Germany in the field of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, as well as to strengthen German-Chinese cooperation structures in Germany and China. In the first phase of the project (2017-2020), German experts have been working together with Chinese cooperation partners at Chinese hospitals and universities to promote the development of the disciplines of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, which are still very neglected in China. We offered a range of training courses and established a solid professional network in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy for the exchange between Germany and China. The focus in the second phase (2021-2023) of the project is on the broadening of the network and the development of new fields of activities. Within this framework, the training courses in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy in China will be expanded and extended to non-university and rural areas. Furthermore, new digital learning methods and e-learning courses will be developed to foster more sustainable learning and to make our teaching courses available to a wider audience. In addition, we focus on the improvement of intercultural learning and intercultural competence, the implementation of public relations activities, as well as the exploration of the economic sector and the development of economic cooperation.
