The module includes the following teaching elements: lectures, seminars, problem-oriented learning (POL), internships and communication and interaction training with psychiatric and psychosomatic standardized patients (PsychoKIT).

  • The aim of the module is the integrated teaching of a wealth of action-oriented knowledge from the fields of psychopathology, psychodynamics, neurobiology, psychobiology, social and developmental psychology, philosophy and ethics from a general psychiatric, psychosomatic and child and adolescent psychiatric point of view.
  •  Another goal is the acquisition of social and communication skills for graduates of medical school. The prospective physician should also be taught skills and knowledge in basic child-adolescent and adult psychiatric and psychosomatic exploration techniques, interviewing, relationship building, empathy, and basic psychotherapy.
