General Outpatient Clinic
Appointments: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm
In our general outpatient clinic, we are primarily there for patients suffering from or suspected of suffering from a complex and/or serious infection or tropical disease. We are also happy to provide advice if immunosuppression is pending, exposure to rabies or poisonous animals is suspected or a tropical fitness examination (G35 or similar) is necessary.
Patients returning from a trip to tropical regions with fever can also come to us on the same day and without an appointment. In this case, a telephone inquiry should be made in advance (06221 56 22999).
Out of opening hours and at weekends, a medical background service is available via cell phone at the following times for the emergency wards (via the emergency outpatient department of the Medical Clinic, Tel.: 06221-56 8782) of the clinic and for the gastro-wake or gastro-intensive wards:
On weekdays from 06:00 to 08:00 a.m. and from 05:00 to 09:00 p.m.,
at weekends from 07:00 a.m. to 09:00 p.m..
Outside of our opening hours, patients
- with fever after a trip to tropical regions should contact the nearest internal medicine emergency clinic as soon as possible.
- with suspected exposure to rabies, it is best to contact the surgical emergency outpatient clinic of the UKHD
- with exposure to poisonous animals to the toxicology advice centers.
