Image-based diagnosis and therapy support

In the research area of image-based diagnosis and therapy support, projects are currently being carried out on AI-supported classification of medical image data, image-based operation planning and intraoperative navigation of surgical interventions. In addition to methods of medical image processing, AI approaches such as rule-based methods or neural networks are used. The projects pursued are third party funded and are mainly carried out together with clinical partners of the University Hospital and, in the case of application-related issues, in cooperation with industry.
