Brief description: The HiGHmed consortium is one of four consortia funded in the BMBF's medical informatics initiative. A major challenge of the initiative is seen in the availability of trained personnel in (bio)medical informatics. This challenge is addressed by the work package 'Strengthening Medical Informatics' in HiGHmed: The training of experts in this field is to be expanded by extending the existing MI curricula of the seven project partners. The collaboration is intended to create sustainable digital teaching content that can be used across curricula. The Medical Informatics Section will primarily develop teaching modules in the area of citizen-centered information management and participatory decision support.
Duration: 2018-2021
