Patient admission department

The patient admission department is organised decentrally by admission services on site in the clinics:

• Admission service Head Clinic
• Admission service for the Department of Dermatology and Gynaecology and the Centre for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
• Admission service Medical and Surgical Clinic
• Admission Service Centre for Orthopaedics, Trauma Surgery and Paraplegiology
• Admission Service Centre for Psychosocial Medicine

The employees of the admissions service take care of the administrative recording of patient data, the conclusion of treatment contracts and contracts for elective medical treatment. They exchange data with the health insurance companies regarding admission and discharge data and, in individual cases, clarify questions regarding cost coverage or cost protection for self-paying patients.

For the occupancy of comfort rooms (optional accommodation), the elective services managers work closely with the admission services and the wards. The elective services managers of the Surgical, Medical and Head Clinic are also part of the Patient Admission Department.

The Patient Admissions department, the admissions services and the coordination of the elective services managers are directly assigned to the head of the Revenue Management division.
