Laurène Petitfour
Scientific Staff member, MD, PHD
Laurène Petitfour joined the Research Group in Health Economics and Health Financing as a scientific staff member in May 2021. She has a background in Health Economics and is trained in quantitative methods research. Her research interests include health care access and utilization, efficiency of health care facilities, and health insurance schemes. Prior to joining HIGH, Laurène worked as a Research Associate for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on the impact evaluation of a family planning intervention in rural areas. She also worked on primary health care facilities in Chinese in Mongolian context for her PhD, which she holds from the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
