PD Dr. med. Julius Emmrich
Postdoc
Julius is a physician, researcher, and social entrepreneur based in Berlin, Germany. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Biological Science from the University of Cambridge, UK, and an MD (Dr. med.) from the University of Leipzig, Germany. Julius is a Privatdozent (PD) at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and co-leads the Global Digital Last Mile Health Research Lab at Heidelberg University and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. His research focuses on the intersection between last mile healthcare delivery and digital health with an emphasis on NCDs and stroke.
Julius is also an active global health implementer. He is co-founder and Managing Director at Elucid. He is also the co-founder of the non-profit social enterprise mTOMADY GmbH and the NGO Doctors for Madagascar. These initiatives have collectively impacted over 3 million lives in the past 12 years.
