DZL/TLRC
The German Center for Lung Research (DZL) is one of six Health Research Centers in Germany, established and financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Since 2010, DZL brings more than 230 principal investigators and their research groups from 28 research institutes throughout Germany together, working on basic and translational lung research.
Translational Lung Research Center Heidelberg (TLRC) is one of five coordinating centers of the DZL. The aim of the TLRC is to promote and coordinate translational lung research within the Heidelberg regional network and the DZL. The participating institutions are University Hospital Heidelberg, University of Heidelberg, Thoraxklinik, DKFZ and EMBL. TLRC provides local structural framework for research activities, including common lab space for research groups, dedicated research platforms and core labs required for DZL research programs.
