AG Translational Modelling
Die Arbeitsgruppe Translational Modelling beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung von Methoden und Modellen zur Quantifizierung funktioneller und struktureller Veränderungen von Gefäßen und Nervengewebe und deren Extrapolation und Einbindung in die klinische Routine. Dabei werden neue MR-Techniken wie das Vessel Architectural Imaging, das Arterial Spin Labeling, Relaxometrie und Mapping-Techniken bei 3 Tesla, 7 Tesla und 9.4 Tesla, sowie in Kooperation mit dem Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrum hochaufgelöste Multiphotonen-Mikroskopie und Lichtscheibenfluoreszenzmikroskopie eingesetzt. Die daraus erfolgende quantitative Charakterisierung von Gefäßnetzwerken und Nervengewebe dient als Grundlage für die Entwicklung von funktionellen Simulationen, welche die Veränderungen des MR Signals unter wechselnden physiologischen Bedingungen untersuchen. Die Arbeitsgruppe verbindet damit translational MR-physikalische Grundlagen, statistische Bildverarbeitung, präklinische Krankheitsmodelle und klinische Anwendung.
