Lisa Stehr

Research Associate and doctoral candidate

Lisa Stehr is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Global Health since February 2023. Her main research interests include determinants of health behavior, health system strengthening in low-resource settings and the relationship between socioeconomic status and cardiovascular risk factors. In addition to her dissertation she coordinates the WHO-PEN@scale project, which aims to decentralize healthcare services for diabetes and hypertension in Eswatini (former Swaziland). She receives a full scholarship for her PhD from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, and was funded by the Heinrich Böll Foundation with a scholarship for civic engagement and academic excellence during her previous studies.
