Artemissia Vadokas

Artemissia Vadokas is a medical student at the Medical Faculty of the University of Heidelberg. She is a doctoral student at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health since May 2024. As part of her medical doctorate, she helped to conduct an observational study on non-communicable diseases in Lusaka, Zambia, focussing on cardiovascular risk factors as well as metabolic syndrome and fatty liver diseases. The purpose of this research project is to develop recommendations for risk screening strategies in local communities in Lusaka.
