Medication safety requires a wide variety of strategies to prevent errors and support drug prescribers and users. In this context, electronic information and decision support systems, based on suitable knowledge bases, play an important role. Such high-quality knowledge bases, that are used in digital support systems, are developed by the Medical Information Technology section in cooperation with our colleagues from the relevant pharmaceutical/pharmacological sections of the department. The quality-assured and verifiable maintenance of these knowledge bases is guaranteed through an electronic tool landscape that provides optimal support.
