Scope
Together, we discuss which quality indicators and outcome measures should be studied. A statistical analysis plan specifies which study design will be used, how exposure, endpoint, and concomitant variables will be defined, and which method will be used for analysis (see sample papers). Sensitivity analyses can help assess the robustness of the chosen procedure. A final (technical) report summarizes the results and interpretation of the work performed.
Mission
In hospital data, longitudinal modeling shows the benefits and risks of drug therapies. Monitoring for underuse, overuse, and misuse of medications among insured patients in health insurance data can identify opportunities for intervention and generally describe the quality of care.
Background
Longitudinal medication checks can monitor the drug therapy processes during an inpatient stay. Routine data containing a variety of finely granulated information on medications and the medical background enable us to determine the adequateness of a therapy.
