Shafinaz Sobhan
MPH, MSc
Research Fellow
Shafinaz graduated from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in 2016 with an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health. She also pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the BRAC University in 2013. As a public health professional, she worked with different national and international non-governmental organizations and gathered more than 8 years of experience in the areas of nutrition and maternal and child health, community health education and social and behavior change communication.
In 2017, she joined the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit as a research fellow to work with an interdisciplinary research project in Bangladesh that aims to reduce child under nutrition through food and agricultural based approaches. She provides technical support and coordination to the design, implementation, and monitoring of a behavior change communication component to improve common food hygiene practices in the household level as a part of this project.
