Dorothy Wasike
Dorothy is a General Medicine doctor with diverse clinical experience across hospitals in Slovakia, Kenya, Germany, and Sweden. She has worked closely with healthcare teams in patient care, diagnostics, and emergency care, while actively contributing to public health initiatives. Her research has focused on child and maternal health, specifically investigating the impact of COVID-19 on neonatal care on a global scale and exploring treatment options for preeclampsia, with research conducted in Mexico. Additionally, she is involved in investigating trends in global warming and studying the effects of heatstroke on vulnerable populations.
Passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes for vulnerable groups, Dorothy is particularly interested in the intersection of child health, maternal well-being, and climate change. With a strong background in both clinical practice and research, she is committed to advancing global health and supporting policies that promote resilient, equitable healthcare systems.
