Thit Thit Aye is a doctoral candidate specializing in health economics and health financing, with a research focus on Burkina Faso's user fee removal policy. She completed her medical studies in Myanmar and international health studies in Heidelberg, Germany. With nine years of experience in Myanmar's health sector, she has contributed to areas such as maternal, newborn, and child health, quality improvement, health system strengthening, infectious diseases control, and harm reduction.

This project aims to assess the effectiveness, efficiency and equity impact of the national free healthcare policy. It follows a previous project that evaluated the prior nationwide user fee reduction policy and a pilot user fee removal in two districts of the Sahel region.
