Maira Shaukat is a doctoral student at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health. Her academic background is in Public Administration and Medical Anthropology which converges well with her current research: Social Health Protection for Outpatient care in Pakistan. The research engages with population as well as the decision-maker level and a variety of theoretical approaches are taken to understand needs of vulnerable populations, the process of program design, and implementation.
