Phidelis Wamalwa is a Doctoral student at Heidelberg institute of Global Health in the Health Economics and Health Financing research unit. Her research interest lies in health system improvement aspects of service delivery quality improvement, service provider mental health and wellbeing and financing of health service using mixed methods research and design thinking. She has experience working with innovative quality improvement approaches to improve maternal and perinatal outcomes; supply and demand side result/performance-based financing in improving access and utilization of maternal and newborn health services, and social health insurance among the informal sector workers.
