History

By establishing the "Heidelberg IOL and Refractive Surgery Research Group" in 1999, Prof. Dr. med. Gerd U. Auffarth  set the foundation for the "IVCRC"  (International Vision Correction Research Centre). The IVCRC received its name as part of the initial certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 in August 2006.

Today the IVCRC is recertified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and as part of the Steinbeis Research Center The David J Apple Center for Vision Research as well as part of the European Research Network  "EVICR.net".
